On the 27th of January, Thailand officially became a member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). This milestone marks the result of more than seven years of continuous efforts. Currently, OGP has over 70 member countries worldwide, and Thailand has joined as the 12th member in the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting the country’s advancement toward international standards.
What is OGP
OGP or the Open Government Partnership is a multilateral international initiative that focuses on “open government,” encouraging citizens to participate and collaborate with the public sector.

Transparency: Promoting the disclosure of information and improving public access to government operations
Participation: Strengthening public participation in developing public policies in collaboration with the government
Public Accountability: Enhancing the responsibility of public officials to perform their duties effectively and achieve concrete results

Strengthening anti-corruption prevention and enforcement
Reinforcing the justice system to be more effective
